Hi! My name is Alisa. I am 15 years old. I’m in the ninth form. I’m doing quite well at school. English is my favourite subject. My parents are proud of my marks. My hobby is dancing. I take part in competitions. I’d like to present you my achievements in studying English and my works.
MY FAMILY-TREE • MY GRANNY • • I have never seen my grandparents. All of them died before my birth. I’d like to tell you about my grandmother. She was my mother’s mother. Her name was Alexandra. When she was 16 in 1945 she and her little sister remained alone because their father was killed in the war and their mother died. My Granny decided to leave their village. She and her little sister put their simple belongings together and set of for another village on foot. When they got necessary place my Granny found a dwelling and started work in the collective farm. She earned their living and her little sister went to school. My Granny knew how to act. She didn’t give her sister to the children’s home despite of she was told about it. I’m proud of her.
Why do I learn English? I began to study English in the second form. I like English; I think any foreign language helps to understand your own language. The English language is one of the most important languages in the modern world; more than one billion people can speak or understand this language. This language is the official language in such countries as the United States of America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the South-African Republic, India and many African countries. English is one of the five official languages of the United Nations Organization. English is the language of the great English literature. It is the language of Shakespeare, Byron and Charles Dickens. From the early childhood we enjoy the books by English writers — who does not know Winnie-the Pooh, Sherlock Holmes or Robinson Crusoe! But the English language is also the language of science — most of scientific magazines in the world are published in English. It is impossible to be a good scientist without knowing this language. That is why I pay much attention to English and I hope that in the future I shall know this language well.

Участие в научно-практических конференциях VI районная научно – практическая конференция «В науку первые шаги»
Участие в научно-практических конференциях «Лермонтов по-английски» Во вступлении приводятся разные взгляды поэтов – переводчиков на вопрос о переводимости русской поэзии на английский язык. В разделах основной части анализируется стихотворение М. Ю. Лермонтова «Парус» с точки зрения его стилистических особенностей и рассматриваются английские переводы данного стихотворения, даётся ответ на вопрос, как добиться переводчику поэтической верности и собственный перевод стихотворения «Парус» на английский язык и его анализ.

Мои публикации «Стихотворение Генриха Гейне о рейнской красавице в контексте трех культур» . В работе решается проблема, как передать средствами другого языка целостно и точно содержание подлинника, сохранив не только его стилистические особенности, но и дух истинно немецкого национального колорита. Автор приводит собственный перевод стихотворения «Ich weiß nicht, was soll es bedeuten. . . » на английский язык.
