Caddy Program/Evans Scholars Last year, as a club, we started a push toward becoming more generous towards the Evans Scholars program. To update everyone, we’re proud to announce that we have two new Evans Scholars, Nick Michetti and Ryan Wietchy, who are going to U of M and Michigan State, respectively. This is one of the most respected charities in the country, not to mention one of the oldest. Throughout their years, they have committed 92% of all donations directly to tuition for these young people, by far one of the best rates of any charity in the country. Remember, many of these Scholars would not be going to any college without this program, let alone colleges of this stature. While we have improved, we have a lot of work to do. Listed below is a snap shot of where we stand versus other clubs. I think many of us will agree that the company we are keeping on this chart is not the same as the one’s we’d hold ourselves against as far as club stature is concerned. Many of these clubs do not even have caddy programs.
