MARILYN MANSON
Brian Hugh Warner born at the January 5, 1969 (1/5/69) in Canton, Ohio, USA. is an American musician, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, actor, painter, multimedia artist, and former music journalist. He is shock rocker, front man of his band “Marilyn Manson”. He is best known for his band's records released in the 1990 s, most notably Antichrist Superstar and Mechanical Animals.
FORMED • Brian Hugh Warner formed his band at 1989 in Florida. The first name of band is “Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids”. The first members of band: Marilyn Manson (vocal), Daisy Berkowitz (lead guitar and drum machine), Zsa Speck (keyboards), Olivia Newton Bundy (bass guitar). The firs demo is The Raw Boned Psalms write only two mans (Manson and Berkowitz).
Portrait of American family The first debut album of Marilyn Manson. Band change its name to “Marilyn Manson”. Album became a Gold at May 29, 2003. It is the only Marilyn Manson studio album to feature bassist Gidget Gein was fired from the band after its production following a very public and destructive heroin addiction and Twiggy Ramirez, the band's roadie and friend of Gein and Manson, was put as a temporary replacement while Gein got clean and sober. He eventually took over Gein's place and briefly adopted his image.
Smells Like Children EP of rock band. It was released on October 24, 1995 in the US through Nothing and Interscope Records. It was produced by the band's frontman and Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. The release represents an era of the band full of drugs, abuses, tours, sound experiments, and is also a reference to the villain "The Child Catcher" from the 1968 musical film Chitty.
Antichrist Superstar The most popular album of band. The record's success in mainstream charts turned the band overnight into a household name and its frontman into a bonafide rock icon. This led to numerous protests from religious and civic groups such as the American Family Association due to the band's perceived anti-Christian stance as well as the transgressive and confrontational nature of their music, performance and appearance.
Mechanical Animals The next album of band with new character Omega Rock Star. A rock opera concept album, it is the second installment in a trilogy which includes Antichrist Superstar and Holy Wood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death). After the release of "Holy Wood", Manson said that the overarching story within the trilogy is presented in reverse chronological order; Mechanical Animals, therefore, acts as the bridge connecting the two narratives and remains constant whether the trilogy is viewed in reverse or not.
Holy Wood The next album of band. A rock opera concept album, it is the final installment in a trilogy which includes Antichrist Superstar and Mechanical Animals. After its release, Manson said that the overarching story within the trilogy is presented in reverse chronological order; Holy Wood, therefore, begins the narrative. It was written in the singer's former home in the Hollywood Hills and recorded in several undisclosed locations, including Death Valley and Laurel Canyon.
The Golden Age of Grotesque The next album. It is the last album to feature guitarist John 5, instead of replacing 5, Tim Skold remained with bass and played guitar, and the band continued as a four-member piece. Limited edition units included a DVD titled Doppelherz (Double-heart), a surrealist short film directed by Manson. The album was certified gold in Australia, Austria, France, Germany, Switzerland the UK. It spawned two singles ("This Is the New hit" and "m. OBSCENE"). The band supported the album with the Grotesk Burlesk Tour, and the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Eat me, drink me The next album of band. It was recorded in a rented home-recording studio in Hollywood by lead vocalist Marilyn Manson and guitarist and bassist Tim Sköld. Manson has stated that he sang most of the album lying down on the studio floor with his hands cupping the studio microphone, resulting in a very distinctive vocal sound. Of Sköld's compositions a further two are said to have been turned into fully-fledged songs with lyrics, music and vocals completed but were not put onto album for fear of making it overwrought.
The High End of Low The next album of band. It was released on May 25, 2009 in the United Kingdom and May 26, 2009 in the United States through Interscope Records. It was the last Marilyn Manson album released by long-time record label Interscope Records. The album spawned two official singles ("Arma-God*-…Geddon" and "Running to the Edge of the World"), and one pre-release promo-single ("We're from America"), and was supported by The High End of Low Tour. The album debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200.
Born Villain The next album of band. It was released worldwide on May 1, 2012 through Marilyn Manson's own label Hell, etc. via Cooking Vinyl Records, and marks the band's first outing since their release from longtime label, Interscope Records, in late 2009. The album spawned three singles ("No Reflection", "Slo-Mo-Tion" and "Hey Cruel World. . . ") and a pre-release short film entitled Born Villain. The band supported the album with the Hey Cruel World. . . Tour, and joint concerts with Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper on the Twins of Evil Tour and Masters of Madness Tour. The album debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200.
The Pale Emperor The next album of band. It was released on January 15, 2015 through Marilyn Manson's own Hell, etc. label, with distribution handled in the US by Loma Vista Recordings, Canada by Dine Alone Records, Japan by Victor Entertainment and internationally by Cooking Vinyl. Produced by Manson and newcomer Tyler Bates, whom Manson met while acting on the TV series Californication, The Pale Emperor eschews the band's usual industrial rock genre in favor of a more sparse, blues rock-influenced sound. It is the first release since his return in 2008 to not feature writing and performance contributions from Twiggy.
