Special Mention • • Cost Cutting Measures – Continuous measures are being implemented to reduce avoidable cost – resulting in saving of over Rs 1 lakh in first six months. Data Base - Prepared a data base of approx. 21000 companies from various Industry associations located in WR for membership drive as well as their participation in FIEO events. Tie up with Third party for Credit information – A proposal from COFACE world second largest company (KOMPASS group) is under negotiation, which will benefit members 3 fold – 1. Buyer Identification, 2. Credit Info. , 3. Bad Debt Management Events in less visited areas - The events are being planned for Kolhapur, Sindudurg, Thane, Chichwad, Vasai- Virar, Jalgaon, Bhavnagar, Gandhidham, Vapi, Daman, Bhopal, Pritampur, etc. Courses with IIFT - Conducted 3 days course on Logistics Management with IIFT from 26 -28 May 2010. Other courses of short duration are being planned for the benefit of exporter members. COO – Other Chambers such as IMC & BCCI charge Rs 80 (Up to 5 copies) to members as against Rs 50 (Up to 8 copies) charged by us. HRD (Training) – The training to the officers & staff are being regularly assisted by the seniors in acquiring the required skills. This will also evolve a team spirit of togetherness. The advance training for the Officers & Staff is being proposed as under – 1. Computer Training to Mr. Sohan Singh Rawat, Sr. Driver-cum-Mechanic. 2. Customer Relationship Management & Team Building Training to Ms. Sujatha Uchil, AD & Ms. Padma Murthy, AD (Nov/Dec, 2010). 3. Training to acquire Professional skills for Administrative assistant (Nov/Dec, 2010) to Ms. Manisha Bathina EA & Ms. Annie Sequiera, JA
