You will need to change into a theatre gown. 2. You will go to a special place called an anesthetic room, sometimes on a theatre bed or walk to theatre department. 3. A health professional will help anesthetize you (go to sleep) buy inserting a cannula, and giving you some medicine, or using a special face mask. 4. When your operation is finished, you will wake up in a place called the recovery room. 5. You will come back to your bed space on the ward or department.
