Logo It’s great to be a student. Many colleges and universities offer great opportunities for studying and for social life. Some students even choose to study abroad. There are several reasons why student life is exciting. First of all, students learn what they need for their future profession. It’s even better if the student really enjoys the direction he or she chose. Secondly, being a student doesn’t mean to work and study all the time. They get plenty of free time for their hobbies and favourite pastimes. Thirdly, students’ social life is very interesting. When students decide to study in foreign colleges, it’s also rather exciting. They get to meet lots of new people from other countries. They can practice and improve their language skills. To study at a college students usually have to pay additional fee. College life is amazing in many ways. First of all, there are many interesting lections and training sessions. Secondly, students find all sorts of entertainment there. For example, the ones who like sport join the local sports teams. For many people college years are the best in life. Almost everyone has good memories of student life. It is even more interesting to be a student if you live in a dormitory. After the sessions they can play the guitar and sing songs. The ones, who like dancing, go to local discos. Others get together simply to chat and discuss the topics they’ve learned. Student life is never boring. It is always full of excitement and interesting experiences.

But it only at first sight, and actually student's way of life has enough differences from a way of life of school students. All life of the student consists of highlights which can conditionally be divided into two parts. I will at once afflict fans of club life – students don't go every weekend to clubs. It is the myth. I don't argue – there is a certain part of students who go to clubs nearly every day. However the most part of a student's brotherhood doesn't organize weekly parties. There is a question: why? The answer is banal: sometimes by the end of educational week simply doesn't remain forces on somewhere to descend with friends. Certainly, sometimes students go to have a rest from daily vanity in pleasure institutions, however it occurs not every week. So if you thought earlier that student's life is a continuous party, I want you to afflict is far not so. Thus don't fall into a depression. Actually there is a myth that in higher education institution it is difficult to study. And so it too lie. Here, as according to the schedule, the room is entered by neighbors and, seeing that Nikolay starts a dinner, they ask it to share food with them. Well, the student to the student the brother, especially to the student who lives in one room. So Nikolay should share with what it is rich. Then there comes time of conversations between neighbors. Time – 21 -30. After hour conversation, Nikolay has opportunity at last to sit down at the computer and to come into the Internet. Having spent about three hours to networks, Nikolay goes in shower to wash. Time – nearly midnight. After our hero washed and cleaned teeth, he still is online about one and a half hours, and then goes to sleep. Time – about two nights. But what here dream! College life – what can sounds more exciting for a young person? Many people have been waiting this time since school. Then the school-leavers shall pass the entrance exams. And finally, one turns from an applicant into a first -year student. I did it! I entered; I got in to the university! Do you remember this feeling? I do. But just to pass the exams – it’s not quite enough, because we need to definite our objects in the life. Which college will be yours? The Teacher’s Training University? The Medical University? The Technical University? Or it will be the Art School? The world is full of specialties and professions, that’s why everyone can find something for himself. Finally, all thoughts are left behind and everyone has chosen what he liked most. The first thing every student will face at the first of September is a teaching staff. How many people work for the sake of our education: professors, assistant professors, senior lectures, tutors, heads of departments, subdeans and the dean. What respectable people are they! And don’t forget about the rector or the vice-rector. All of them come every day for us. Many people think that the university is much easier to study than school. But it’s a big mistake. From the very first classes the avalanche of home assignments falls on us. We have to keep late hours if we want to manage to keep pace with the curriculum. But if one accidental misses something, he has to catch up instead hanging out with his friends.

As for me, my studies keep me busy all day long. I have 10 hours of English a week, in spite of many seminars and lectures. My favorite subjects are history and English, because they make my brain in fit. Then many students start to give up the education. At first they cease to do their home work, and then miss classes. Many of these people drop out of university, but, basically, they will be expelled. We need to make right decision and get through this time. But even independently of one’s decision the examination period comes very soon. Someone will be crammed; someone will drill till late night. At that time we almost forget about sweet dreams because twenty-four hours a day we are preparing for our exams. So, the first session is behind. Everyone is truly overexcited. It is always the day of smiles and tears: some may say I have passed, while someone is going to resit. But it’s just the beginning. The summer session will be waiting for us, and if everything will be alright, we will be the sophomores. I always say: hard to learn, easy in a battle. I firmly believe that it’s undisputed truth.
