LENKOM THEATRE
THE BIRTH OF THEATRE The theater building was erected in the years 1907 -1909. I. A. Ivanov. Shits was its architect. Up to that point, it became a theater, it was a building political club "House of anarchy. " In 1919, the building was redesigned at Communist University. Sverdlov. In 1923, instead of the university cinema "Malaya Dmitrovka" was opened. In 1927, the cinema "Malaya Dmitrovka" has been redeveloped into the Theater of Young Workers.
DAWN OF THEATRE Program of amateur groups declared a clean break with the traditional theater, the rejection of the participation of professional actors and playwrights, as well as from the classical repertoire. Like other theatres of young workers, this theater has gradually developed into a professional, which was headed in 1933 by I. Ya. Sudakov director. Studio Theatre of R. N. Simonov joined the company of actors.
LENIN KOMSOMOL THEATER In 1938, I. Bersenev became the artistic director of the group, which was given a new name - Theatre. Lenin Komsomol. Many actors came with him to theater. New plays for theater attracted great interest.
THEATER IN THE WAR YEARS During the war years "The Living Corpse" Tolstoy, "Cyrano de Bergerac" E. Rostand, "A Month in the Country" Turgenev were set. After death of Bersenev, in 1952 -56, theater was headed by S. Giatsintova, later, in 1957 -60, theater was headed by S. Mayorov, in 1960 -62 – by B. Tolmazov. .
THE COMING OF EFROS In 1963, Efros came to theatre. His performances marked the turn of theater to a deeper psychologism acting in metaphor-rich, free, and frankly conventional directorial composition. However, in 1967 Efros was removed from the leadership of theater, with him out of theater many actors left. V. Monahov became the main director.
M. A. ZAHAROV Since 1973 theater was headed by M. A. Zaharov. His characteristic width of genres and stylistic range - from psychological drama to musicals and from tragedy to stage journalism, as well as its inherent energy directing thoughts breathed new life into theater. Many theater productions attracted the most lively interest.
FEATURES OF THE STAGES Scenographic composition of O. Sheyntsis (main theater artist since 1980) largely determine the shape of original performances.
THEATRE TODAY In 1990, theater received its present name. Theater works in a former Merchant assembly.
