Concept Development To consolidate sentences means to combine sentences that have related ideas into one sentence. • We can consolidate sentences by making a compound sentence. A compound sentence is made up of two independent clauses. • A compound sentence can be formed by linking two similar independent clauses with a coordinating Formula: conjunction and inserting a comma.
