LANDSCAPE TYPES • HIGHLANDS: • in our country prevailing (Šumava region, the area of the Giant mountains, Žďár region) • relatively fertile soil • moister and colder than lowlands • three layers as for the height: ▫ lower layer– fertile valleys (human residences) ▫ middle layer – foothills (pastures, forest) ▫ upper layer – production spruce forest
