Master Plan Purpose Strategic guidance for future greenway development – Integrate recreation, transportation, natural resource management and improved water quality – Natural and cultural resource stewardship – Greenway trail alignment, interpretive themes and design direction – Implementation strategies: land protection, phasing, capital and operations budgets, cost share – Regional greenway status
Project Schedule
Public & Stakeholder Input • Technical Advisory Group (TAG) meetings during each phase of the project – Representatives from: City of Burnsville, City of Lakeville, City of Farmington, Three Rivers Park District, Vermillion River JPO, Dakota County Historical Society, Scott County, Dakota County • Individual meetings with key landowners and stakeholders • Community Open Houses – First open house to introduce the projects and get input on alternatives • January 24 th 2013, Lakeville Water Treatment Plant 6: 00 -8: 00 PM • January 15 th 2013, Lebanon Hills Visitor’s Center 6: 00 -8: 00 PM – Second open house will be held in Spring 2013 for input on the Draft Master Plan • Greenways Website: www. hkgi. com/projects/dakota
