Making small talk
Advice There is a suggestion that to get down to business directly is not normal or polite at all. In many countries and different cultures small talk is an important part of business meeting and developing business relatoinships. Topics for this talk are always free, very seldom they are quite serious. Escaping or ignoring your companions is very impolite and even awful. No one should dominate the conversation.
Example - Hello, Anatoly. - Good morning, Anton. Nice to see you, how are you? - Oh, Thank you for a question, I am fine. - I know that your future profession is connected with computers so can you help me with repairing? - Yes, of course. It is not a problem. What kind of breakdown you have? - Actually I don’t know, but I guess that something wrong with video adapter. - Probably, there is a problem with a freezer, I’ll help you tomorrow, and now I should go, see you later. - Bye.
Thank you for your attention
