History Koszalin also called Koszalice, Koeslin, Cussalitz, Coeslin, Cosalitz, Scurgum, was a site of History Koszalin also called Koszalice, Koeslin, Cussalitz, Coeslin, Cosalitz, Scurgum, was a site of pagan worship in Prehistory. It was established as a city in the XIIth century. First it was only a small place but with time its importance grew and it became one of the richest cities of Middle Pomerania. Its success was connected with the proximity to the Baltic Sea and Jamno lake, and numerous merchant routes crossing in Koszalin. Now it is a popular resort visited by tourists who spend their time at the seaside.
