Kazakh-British Technical University
History • The idea of creation of the Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU) belongs to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. President held a series of talks and meetings with officials of the United Kingdom, as a result of which was drawn up a Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries was signed in November 2000. Patron of the University became British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
Pleased to note that KBTU continues to steadily develop high standards in higher education and research, and wrote his story to his contribution to the educational, scientific and cultural spheres of the Republic of Kazakhstan!
Faculties • KBTU includes 8 faculties: • • • Faculty of Energy, oil and gas industry Faculty of Information Technology Education and Research Center of Chemical Engineering Business School International School of Economics (in cooperation with the London School of Economics) • Kazakhstan Maritime Academy • Research and Education Center of Mathematics and Cybernetics • Service innovation education
Over the past 5 years (2010 -2014). KBTU as the best technical college Kazakhstan General rating IQAA (Independent Kazakh Agency for Quality Assurance).
