What is the Tús Initiative? ØTús is an activation initiative for those who are What is the Tús Initiative? ØTús is an activation initiative for those who are unemployed and on the live register ØThe programme is designed to actively involve those who are long-term unemployed with community work ØThe goal is to help long-term unemployed to maintain and develop skills and abilities while benefiting local communities Tús Galway City

Essential Details Ø Participants work 19 ½ hours per week. Ø Period is for Essential Details Ø Participants work 19 ½ hours per week. Ø Period is for 52 weeks. Ø Participant cannot re-participate on Tús for 3 years. Ø Participants will be entitled to 8% of total hours worked for annual leave - 10 ½ days in the 12 month period. Ø Payment is made directly to participant’s bank account. Ø Secondary benefits as per usual assessment. Tús Galway City

Rates of Payment ØFull personal rate of JA plus € 20 = € 208. Rates of Payment ØFull personal rate of JA plus € 20 = € 208. 00 per week ØPlus increase for a qualified adult max € 124. 80 Ø € 29. 80 in respect of each qualified child ØYou may receive half rate qualified child increase if a part-time parent ØFull rate of € 208 payable without any reduction for persons aged under 25 Tús Galway City
