What is jumping on skis? • Jumping on the ski jumping - a winter sport that includes jumping from 70 , 90 and 120 -meter springboards. They give estimates for the jump distance and performance techniques (maximum 20 points). Best and worst estimates are not considered. Fall and touch for special line do not affect the assessment for jumping technique. • Hopping length - the distance from the end of the springboard to the point of contact of the foot athlete's foot to the ground. Points for the flight range is calculated at a special table.
regulations • Participate in the program exclusively by men; • From the national team in international competitions in each event can serve no more than four athletes; • All athletes must have medical insurance risk. When the sport entered the Olympic Games • Jumping on the ski jumping included in the Olympic program since 1924, when in Chamonix hosted the first in world history, the Olympic Winter Games. Jumping from the big springboard were included in the program of Olympic competition in 1964 at the Olympics in Innsbruck.
