Vladimir Baimetov is the Dean of the faculty of journalism. He graduated from MSU. He has been working at the University for 21 years. He is an author of more than 30 scientific and methodical works. Our dean is a member of the Board of the Union of journalists of the Udmurt Republic, member of the Ministry of Culture, Press and Information. Baimetov is a chief editor of the newspaper «Udmurtskiy Universtitet» , collaborates with many newspapers and magazines.
Sophia Tsygvintseva has been working at the University for 3 years. She graduated from journalism faculty of MSU. Sophia succsessfully combines the work of a lecturer and the work of a correspondent of the TV channel “Moya Udmurtia”.
Alexander Vahrushev graduated from journalism faculty of the Kazan State University. He worked as a correspondent and executive secretary of the newspaper “Rassvet”. He was an editor of the newspaper “Gerd”. Alexander has more than seventy scientific publications and two monographs on the history of Vyatka press. In 2013 he got doctor degree.

Yagovkin Denis Yagovkin graduated from the faculty of journalism in 2013. He also writes weekly columns for «Univer. ru» . In 2010 he was employed by «GTRK Udmurtia» as a freelance reporter. One year later he worked as a reporter in staff of the TV company. A career as a local journalist in Izhevsk helped Denis. He has become a recognizable public personality, regularly appearing on Izhevsk television.
Suntsova Yulia Suntsova graduated from the faculty of journalism in 2010. Yulia works in the newspaper «Day» in Izhevsk now. She is a winner of many journalism contests. Yulia has awards such as the Sakharov Prize in Journalism «Journalism as an Act» and Hunter S. Thompson’s gonzo journalism award. She is a winner of Russian Union of Journalists contest «Voshodyashaya Zvezda» in 2010 and 2013.

Our faculty provides an opportunity to practice journalism skills right at the University The first issue of the newspaper “Udmurtskiy Universitet” was published in January 1974. Today the newspaper is designed for lecturers, students and staff of the University. The “Udmurtskiy Universitet” consists of headings such as “Mesto vstrechi”, “Nauka”, “Persona” etc.
Our faculty provides an opportunity to practice journalism skills right at the University The first issue of the magazine “Univer. ru” was published in November 2006. The editor of the magazine is Vladimir Baimetov. The magazine consists of headings such as “Lenta”, “Sport and tourism”, “Career” etc. Students and teachers work for this magazine.
