Joint Degrees • Currently, no joint degrees • In 1998 – proposal for new joint graduate degree in spatial analysis (with Ryerson University), failed to gain approval internally • In 2003 – proposal for new joint undergraduate degree in engineering (with Tehran University of Technology), failed to gain approval internally

Double Degrees • Long history of double degrees internally: JD/MBA, JD/MSW, JD/MA, BEng/MBA • Recently, double degree arrangements with colleges in the Greater Toronto Area (undergraduate bachelor degree & a diploma) • No double degrees with institutions outside of Ontario
3 + 2 double degrees • Initiative of the Faculty of Arts and Science • 3 years of undergraduate studies at the first institution • 2 years at U of T – year 1: combination of 4 th year level undergraduate courses & graduate level courses, year 2: strictly graduate courses • 2009 -2010 – first group • Aimed at those master degrees of 12 to 18 months duration
