Final Jeopardy Babies can be hard to figure out. I made this discovery, when my neighbor Rosanna asked me for a favor. When she knocked on my door she looked like she had just climbed out of bed her eyes half-open, her hair flat and matted, and her clothes rumpled. In reality she wasn’t waking up she was desperate for sleep. Can you do me a big favor? She asked I wouldnt ask you but its an emergency”. Rosanna explained that she had been up all night, walking her baby Marcus, signing to him, and rocking him. Nothing would put Marcus to sleep. “I’ve got to get a coupl of hours sleep” she explained “before I go to work. All I need is for you to watch the baby until my husband comes home from his job in two hours. Then, she said, her husband could take over and she could go to her job. I felt sorry for her so I agreed. The strangest part of the story is a happy ending. As soon as I had Marcus in my arms he fell asleep. Babies certainly seem to live by their own strange schedule’s.
