ISO 9001: 2015 QMS LEAD AUDITOR COURSE (LAC) QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (ISO 9001: 2015) LEAD AUDITOR COURSE Aim: To provide potential auditors of management systems with the necessary knowledge and skills to competently conduct third party assessments of Quality Management Systems (QMS). Options: This course includes modules AU, QM, and TL (RABQSA TPECS). Pre-requisites: Nil. Length: 5 Days. Accreditation: Exemplar Global, Training Provider & Examiner Certification Scheme (TPECS) formerly RABQSA Scope: Our ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Course is delivered across 5 days and provides an overview of ISO 9001: 2015, before delving into the practical auditing skills required to perform audits against quality management systems as either part of a team or an audit team leader. It also provides a comprehensive understanding of ISO 19011 Guidelines for Auditing Management Systems. This course includes modules AU, QM, and TL (Exemplar Global TPECS). Recognition of prior learning will be awarded for Modules AU and TL if they have been completed within the previous three years. 1

Days 5: Module TL – Leading Management Systems Audit Teams QMS ü ü ü the certification process auditor skills and abilities auditor’s Code of Conduct legal/ethical aspects of auditing JAS-ANZ, RABQSA & ANZSIC Codes. Examination: LEAD AUDITOR COURSE (LAC) Participants are assessed continuously throughout the course and through a written examination on the afternoon of the fifth day. All participants on the course receive a Certificate of Attendance. Those who are deemed ‘competent’ will also receive a Certificate of Attainment. Course Structure This Course is in module format such that the first two days provide an introduction to auditing management systems and focuses on the skills required for auditing (Module AU). The third and fourth days focus on ISO 9001: 2015 and QMS specific issues, particularly relevant to external auditing (Module QM). The fifth day is focused on lead auditor specific requirements and the certification process (Module TL). Who Should Attend? QMS LEAD AUDITOR COURSE (LAC) OUR TRAINER(S) MR. S. SIVAPALAN, MIIE Mr. Sivapalan is an Electrical Engineer with Master of Science (Manufacturing Systems), United Kingdom. In addition to his professional qualifications, he has a post-graduate diploma in Production Management from University of Delft (Netherlands). He is a certified Lead Assessor for QMS and EMS. He attended MTM, UK courses in MTM 1, 2 & 3 and passed the examinations with distinctions. Mr. Sivapalan has a vast working experience spanning over twenty four years. He started his career as an Engineer with the Telecommunications Department for 4 years and later joined Robert Bosch in Penang for 2 years as a Production Engineer. Subsequently, he joined the National Productivity Corporation (NPC) as a Consultant and later promoted as a Senior Consultant. He started as a Consultant in the Industrial Engineering Section for the first 7 years and was later sent as the Regional Manager for the NPC Branch in Sabah. After 5 years in Sabah, he was transferred back to the NPC Headquarters as the Maintenance Manager for the NPC Hotel and Complex. Following which, he was back in the Productivity and Quality Unit as a Senior Consultant. During his tenure with NPC, he had the opportunity to attend the Total Quality Management training for 3 months in Sweden and also attended the Malcolm Baldridge Convention in Washington D. C. (U. S. A). After NPC, he joined Mechanalysis Sdn. Bhd. As a Quality Assurance Manager. At Mechanalysis, he was involved in the Operation & Maintenance of Electrical Power System at KL International Airport, Sepang. Later, he was a Lead Assessor for a UKAS Accredited Certification Body and conducted third party certification audits for quality and environment management systems for 3 years. Currently, he is a certified QMS & EMS Lead Auditor and Trainer for TQCS International. 4
