And the most popular foreign language is the English language. The aim of our work is to learn about Simple English and Basic English. The object of our study different variants of English. Research objectives are to learn about different variants of English; learn about Simple English: its origin, advantages and disadvantages, use do questioning, make a conclusion about necessity of simplified variants of English Methods of research: theoretical analysis of the literature, questioning, internet resources, analysis of results.

This part includes 4 chapters; practical part with 2 chapters; appendix; conclusion; bibliography. Our hypothesis is that Simple and Basic English can be useful in some spheres of life.

There a lot of variants and dialects of the English language. For example American There a lot of variants and dialects of the English language. For example American English, British English, Australian English, New Zealand English and so on. Each variant of English differs in vocabulary, pronunciation and spelling. All this makes the English language rather difficult to study. That’s how simplified versions of English appeared. The first attempt was made in the 1920 s by Charles Kay Ogden, when he created Basic English, which was popular after World War II. Though the idea got lots of criticism, it did not die. Another simplified version of the English language appeared called Globish. It was created in 1990 s by Jean-Paul Nerrière. And some years later Simple English appeared, based on these two languages.
