Introduction: Hello to everyone and thanks for coming! My name is Pablo, I´m psychologist and ecology teacher. In Argentina I work as psychologist only twice a week but I work as ecology every day. I think that is very important to learn about our environment and how to take care of it; because if we take care of it we are taking care of us. A city without trees is a city with sick people, a city without parks and nice places for walk is a place with sick people, a city without art and culture is a boring and a depressing place. It is also important to learn ecology not only in the school but especially in kindergarten. Kids love nature and animals naturally, is part of our essence; but. . . in order to achieve this they should know the nature and they must grow in a natural environment. In this presentation I want to share with you some simple ideas and actions that can make a difference. We can work for a better world, and we can do it now, today!

Simple idea: to plant fruit trees instead of common trees in public spaces. Result: free and organic food for people.

Imagine yourself harvesting fruits in the parks or forest, like old times. Organic, fresh and homemade.

You can adapt the concept of "edible park" or "food forest" to any kind of place: kindergarten, hospital, school, etc.

You can create a digital city map with the information of all the fruit trees in the city. So, people can know the location of their favourite fruits and harvest them (organic and free of charge!).

You can organize a "Fruits Tour" in the city for harvesting fruits with friends and neighbors.

What is a Give Box or Gift Box? + Is an open cupboard, placed in a public area, where people can drop off and pick up secondhand good. People come and go as they please. + Is a good way to acquire goods and also a good way to share things or give up the things you don't use anymore + It encourages re-use, so benefits the environment. + It can be to generate donations for charity/ homeless people.

Time Banking is a tool by which a group of people can create an alternative economic model where they exchange their time and skills, rather than acquire goods and services through the use of money or any other state-backed value. This system can also complement the current system, and they can work very well at the same time. Is a bank where you don't need money.

Some communities created their own currency or alternative systems to acquire or sell goods and services.

This is the "social currency" in Corrientes City (Argentina). Is an alternative way to exchange goods and services without money. So you can use your "credit or points" to acquire goods like vegetables, furniture or you can also acquire services like a massage or a lesson of english, spanish, etc.
