Innotek – financing issues • “Structural financing” – Provincial dotation of 110. 000 EURO/year (yearly decided) – Exploitation of incubator (owner = province, Innotek pays no rent and keeps income): when well occupied we can make some profit • “Project financing” – Innovation counseling : Flemish Region 80 - 100 % of costs – Spin-off project : EU-ERDF (Interreg), provinces of Antwerp & Limburg, Flemish Region
Innotek – financing issues • Sponsoring by members – a once-only contribution of 12. 395 EURO or comparable in kind • “Equity” – Members contribution + profit of incubator as a sort of equity for less favorable times, to bridge the gap between two projects, for projects we think important but with no external financing • Remains partly a struggle for national or EU-projects, our BICstatus and EBN are helping us a lot • Often also external factors : eg innovation counseling in restructuring in flanders (service + people will stay, possibly in another organisation)
