Tackling Innovation Explore transitions from e. Journals to repositories “Exploit complex e. Journal structure for ‘simple’ repositories!” a - pre-prints > open review > post prints b - material repositories as journal extensions (> e. Science) c - overlay journals Benchmark interoperability with object models in repositories and middleware systems
Tackling Innovation An excursion on the long way from “simple” ideas to “simple” solutions Building “material repositories” for http: //www. brains-minds-media. org/>>
From Content to Objects structure - articles, collected in volumes, issues, topics, series, supplementary material etc. content - text, bitmap/vector graphics, movies, applets digital objects “folder objects” e. g. journal, container “content-holder objects” e. g. article, data-container “content objects” e. g. xml, pdf, html, multimedia “specification objects” e. g. “oai: Set.
