Mohandas Gandhi (1869 -1948) • Civil disobedience: Nonviolent protest agst unfair laws – Boycott (don’t buy) Br goods like cloth (Gandhi weaves his own)
More Civil Disobedience…. – Stop paying taxes – Don’t vote **Would the Br care if they did these things? • These things hurt Br where they care the most ---- $$$ and orderly society • So, put a tax on salt (force ppl to pay taxes) • What should Gandhi do?
