Course description • Web technologies introduces common Web Standards as set forth by the World Wide Web Consortium. Topics include HTML, XHTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT, XML and etc. The course emphasizes the important role standards play in Web Site development. Students learn how to use these standards to create and structurally mark-up web pages.
Course hours Web-technologies(3 credits) • Lecture - 1 hour • Practice – 2 hour • SRSP – 1 hour - W 3 C standards and mysql – about 10 weeks - JSP/Servlet technologies and some frameworks – about 5 weeks
Course design • To give students general knowledge of how to build a web site and how to use tools for that. • Also to give students general view of JSP and Servlet technology and also building applications on that technologies.
Course organization Lectures • Attendance check • English speech only Lab sessions • Firstly the task is explained • All students work on their exercises individually(may ask each other quietly) • Parallelly students asked about done lab exercises Tools ?

Course policies Attendance: • Attendance is required. Excused absences will need to be requested in writing ( by EMAIL) and will need evidence. • Student who has more than 20% of absence will automatically receive “F” grade for the COURSE. Academic Honesty: • Do all assignments by yourself – UNLESS otherwise instructed. • Develop your own code for practice (can look at others codes). • University has strict guidelines and we will simply enforce these.

Submission of assignments evaluation • Submitted on the lab it was given – 100% • Submitted before the next lab and was defended – 100%(if wasn’t defended – 50%) • Submitted after the next lab has finished but on the same day – 50%(each next day -25%)
