Conclusions – Migration to AMHS Ø Careful planning with clear objectives and time plan Conclusions – Migration to AMHS Ø Careful planning with clear objectives and time plan is essential, Ø Coordinated transition plan for gateways: National and International Ø Early involvement and training of users/operators is very important Ø Early interoperability plans with international partners Ø Reduce Interoperability testing – use the tester Ø Need more operational procedures to be developed by ANSPs/CAAs Ø AMHS is a reality and has been operational since 1996 Ø AMHS implementation should be much further ahead than it is. Ø ATN is ready for delivery using ISO or IPS in dual stack environment Ø TP 4/CLNP ISO for the future is very limited. Ø AFTN lives on for the foreseeable future.
