Why a Shutdown required? • In accordance to local standard SS 538 Maintenance of electrical equipment of electrical installations • An ANNUAL shutdown is required for testing and cleaning of the main electrical switchgear and transformers. When? • Date: • Duration: • Affected Area: 7 Nov 2015(Saturday) 0600 (Sat) to 0800 hrs (Sun) Entire ISTP Building
What is the impact? • All electrical and cooling services will not be available. E. g. aircon, electrical power supply, food warmers, etc. • Entire building will be closed and only support personnel are allow to enter the site (Shutdown Support Team) • All IT services in the building will be unavailable. (Details will be provided in the charts later)
What is the responsibility of a BU focal? • Shall ensure equipment under the BU have been properly shutdown on 6 th Nov 2015 or earlier before the 7 th Nov 2015 power shutdown • Shall take charge to reinstate equipment back to working condition after power is restored • Shall be the focal within the BU to work with RESO with respect to the shutdown activities.

IT Services and Systems Availability • All IT systems in ISTP are not available as there will be no power in the building. No users are allowed to work in ISTP • For those are working remotely from home, below are some of the common services NOT affected by the building power shutdown Ø For example: – Verse – SAP Systems – W 3 Intranet – Sametime Not Available: – Lotus Notes Email on d 23 ml 125 and d 23 mlc 25 ( will affect SWG as well ) – Teamroom and lotus applications hosted on server d 23 dbl 90 and kkbsgp 01 – Shared folders on ISTPFS 1 server

IT Power Up Sequence on 5 th – 6 th Nov 2016 1930*, 5 th Nov Facility Power Up Sequence 2000* Power Up Network 2100* Power Up Servers 2300* üStart applications and services üPower up IT equipments and peripherals 0800* üIT Testing and verifications* * Business units using critical systems are advised to do their respective system verifications on the same day. 6 th Nov All systems available * Systems availability will varies and problems will be managed together with various support teams.
General User Key Notes 1. IT will shutdown Level 3 office devices in Printer Rooms and Meeting Rooms such as printers, projectors and LCD TVs. 2. Users are reminded to shutdown their personal computers, printers and IT devices before leaving office on 6 th Nov. 3. Employees who are coming back to work to support the power shutdown are advised not to clock in and clock out on the time clock. Please register your attendance manually with your manager. 4. Area focal persons are to advise to contact IT upon completion of shutdown of their respective areas. 5. SG Client Center are responsible to shutdown their equipment on 4 th Nov
Geodis Key Notes 1. Provide access into these areas namely, Geodis Receiving, Geodis Shipping, Geodis Storage Room in Receiving office, to allow IT persons to shutdown the network devices. This is required during shutdown and upon power resume for IT to start power up. 2. To shutdown and power up all IT equipment such as PCs, printers, copiers. 3. Perform testing and verification when power and IT systems are resumed. This includes connection to Partner Connect to access IBM systems, perform printing tests (SAP, RPDS).
Server Owner And Manufacturing Users Key Notes 1. Departmental server owners are responsible for their own backup, shutdown, power up, and recovery plans. 2. Server owners are required to complete the server shutdown by 12. 30 am on 5 th Nov 2016. Network shutdown will start at 12. 30 am. 3. Servers which are shutdown by remote support team, please arrange for someone to turn off the power socket connected to the servers. 4. Server owners are advised to power up and verify their servers during IT power up. 5. Manufacturing are responsible to shutdown their manufacturing workstations and printers. 6. Manufacturing users are recommended to perform system testing and critical printers testing during IT Power up.
