Lessons learnt Scientific approach to resolve water sector issues Acquainted with modern techniques for effective and rapid decision making Integrated approach of Surface and Groundwater for sustainable management Adopting feasible methods and practices from other agencies through interaction. Exposure to latest technologies in water sector for problem solving Evolution of methods for project management in a cost and time effective manner
Application of HIS GEC Report W Quality maps Groundwater prospect maps Specific Reports Water Level Fluctuation maps
Data dissemination and awareness raising Data disseminated to HDUG Meeting convened at Idukki District, Kerala Disaster Management (HVRA Cell) which has been formulated in the state for drought prediction and management is a permanent user of HIS Data
Post Project Plan ØSustainability of the achievement of Hydrology Project activities ØWater budgeting on water shed basis ØUp gradation of Hydrological Network stations throughout the state especially in coastal terrains of understanding different aquifer parameters in the basin for groundwater developmental activities ØModeling of 43 river basins ØKnowledge sharing and awareness rising.
Gratitude and Hope Ground Water Department was transformed to a new organization with the advent of Hydrology Project. Modernization of data collection, validation, analysis and dissemination strategies increased the acceptance of the department tremendously in various water related issues. We extend our sincere gratitude to World Bank Ministry of Water Resources, Govṭ of India DHI, NIH Roorkee, Belgaum, CGWB, NWA, other implementing states……. . As mentioned earlier we also expect a continuance of the HP activities through HPIII
