Source Specialty fills prescriptions for specialty medications. • Specialty medications are used to treat chronic, complex illnesses and are typically highpriced injectable drugs. But can also include expensive tablets, capsules or inhaled medications. These are separate pharmacies that fill different types of prescriptions and operate out of different locations. – If you use both pharmacies, you’ll receive individual invoices and shipments will arrive separately. 11
