House Ambassador • The role of House Ambassador is being introduced to pupils in S 1 -3. • This role is for pupils who would like to act as a representative of pupils in their class/year/house. • This role will also involve being an ambassador for the school.
What does it mean to be an ambassador? Discuss this question with the person sitting next to you
A representative chosen to speak on behalf of your class An advocate, to put a case forward on your behalf A champion to stand up for your cause
What will House Ambassadors be expected to do? • Attend all Pupil Council meetings: raising issues and reporting back to the class with any Pupil Council decisions. • Represent the school at events such as the NAC Youth Council/Youth Conferences etc. • Be part of whole school focus groups. • Assist with whole school events like Parents’ Evenings; Prize Giving; Xmas Fayre; Open Evenings; visits to the school. • Work with senior House Captains. • Be a positive role model to others.

What if I am interested? • We would like to ask that all pupils complete their slip of paper and return to their Personal Support teacher. • Write your NAME and CLASS (e. g. 1 A 1) and tick either the YES or NO box to answer the following question: • Would you like to put your name forward to be considered for the role of House Ambassador?
What happens next? • All pupils who have expressed their interest will be given more details about the next stage of the selection process. AD ASTRA
