Homework 2 The Culture Assimilators

This homework aims to develop skills of creating Cultural Assimilator. I gave you examples of cultural assimilators. I described the process of their construction. Now you have to develop two scenarios for cultural Assimilator in accordance to the algorithm that I gave you, and give a report of your work in the form of a presentation. The first situation should be devoted to train representatives of your culture to behavior of another country’s culture. Another situation must be “the reverse situation“. That is, it must be the training of representatives of any other country's to behavior of your country’s culture. For example, the situation of Russians working in China (or another country) and Chinese, working in Russia.

During the presentation, you have to do the following: 1. Explain to whom this situation was developed (the country of the trainees). 2. Explain to what sphere of life this situation applies (business, education, everyday communication, and so on). That is, define the field of application of the given situation. 3. Present the situation, then read 4 attributions to it. The students in the group will have to choose one correct attribution according to their opinion. 4. Read the explanations of each attribution. The explanation of the correct attribution should be described in details. 5. In conclusion, you should explain where you got the situation (the source). Was this situation, attribution and explanation discussed with anyone? In one word, you should tell about the process of creating situations for Cultural Assimilator.
