History of fall with numbness in both arms. The patient was an in-patient who had a fall on the ward. A bilateral C 6/7 facet dislocation was confirmed on plain film and CT. .
A block vertebrae is a type of vertebral anomaly. There is partial or complete fusion adjacent vertebral bodies. Incidental finding in a patient with degenerative cervical spine disease.
Neck pain after repeated cervical disc replacement surgery.
CT and plain film demonstrating a teardrop fracture of the C 2 vertebral body.
Upper cervical / base of skull pain. Prominence(выпуклость) of the soft tissue in the posterior nasopharynx in this age group most likely represents lymphoid tissue. The dens and lateral masses of C 1 are difficult to discern(различить).
CT reveal extensive bony destruction involving the inferior clivus, occipital condyles, C 1 and C 2. A large midline soft tissue mass is demonstrated on the soft tissue CT windows. No intratumoural calcifications are identified in this case.
MRI demonstrates an extradural soft tissue mass which involves the basiocciput, anterior arch of C 1 and C 2 vertebral body. The mass is intermediate to low signal on T 1 WI, high signal on T 2 WI and enhances on the post-contrast images. It causes significant mass effect, with compression of the cord at the cervicomedullary junction.
Atlantoaxial disassociation
CT image shows an oblique fracture of the C 6 vertebra with slight(незначительный) displacement. There is no extension to the lamina or facet joint on axial CT
