History Chicago Architecture This project present by: Choi Karina Khwanrutai
History Chicago Architecture The architecture of Chicago has influenced and reflected the history of American architecture. Beginning in the early 1880 s, the Chicago School pioneered steel-frame construction and, in the 1890 s, the use of large areas of plate glass. These were among the first modern skyscrapers. Many world-famous architects played a significant role in the development of Chicago -- rising from the ashes of the 1871 Great Chicago Fire into one of the world's largest cities and greatest collections of modern architecture
