Hiking as a Metaphor
Sometimes you’re on safe ground
And sometimes you are on the edge…
Sometimes you have a clear idea where you’re going
And sometimes you are not sure and need a little help from the friends
Sometimes you feel pressure
And sometimes you enjoy endless space and relaxation
At times it may seem boring and endless…
But it’s worth waiting for times of true excitement
Sometimes things seem black and depressing
But not long after, brightness enlightens your way
You may wish to be always on the top
But even when on the bottom, it doesn’t look too bad…
Sometimes you have to take a deep breath and a large step forward…
And be ready to confront the obstacles…
…just to be rewarded afterwards…
And after doing well, look forward to do even better next time…
