Gas, HV and LV • Stainless steel pipes for CF 4: gas in 1/2”, gas out 1”. + N 2 line. • The HBD has a total of 112 SHV HV connectors: v. Each ½ detector has 56 SHV HV connectors (28 on the bottom and 28 on the top). v i. e. 7 HV per sector. Readout Board + Preamps Preamp signals to shaper + ADC Hybrid Preamps with line • drivers Being developed ~ ¾” honeycomb by BNL Instrumentation wires • Based on IO-535 Read pads ~ 3 x 3 cm 2 GEMs • ± input signal • ±From C. Material, weight radiation length • The detector box is made of 3/4” thick honeycomb structures sandwiched between two G 10 sheets ¼ mm thick. • Entrance window: double mylar window 50 μ thick with inter volume flushed with N 2. • Total radiation budget of detector box and electronics of about 1. 5%. • Total weight of app. 5 kg per half detector.
