• Hastings is a town in the East Sussex on the south coast of England

• Population is employed in light industry, fisheries, shipbuilding. Since 1920 in Hastings are annual international chess tournaments.

• The battle ended with Harold’s death from an arrow in the eye and the English were routed.

Battle Abbey • is a partially ruined abbey complex. The abbey was built on the scene of the Battle of Hastings and dedicated to St. Martin.

Hastings Castle • Before or immediately after landing in England in 1066 William of Normandy ordered to build it and made it his official residence.

Hastings Fishermen’s Museum • is a museum dedicated to the fishing industry and maritime history of Hastings , a seaside town in East Sussex , England. • It is housed in a former church, officially known as St Nicholas’ Church and locally as The Fishermen’s Church
