You can apply if you have: • A non-Finnish qualification that gives eligibility for higher education studies in the country in question (e. g. upper secondary). • You can also apply if you graduate in spring 2013 from one of the EU/EEA-countries. • HAMK uses discretionary admission: please see www. hamk. fi/applicationfulltime for detailed instructions. w w w. h a m k. f i

Application period • Apply to universities of applied sciences all over Finland with just one application. • Choose at most four options that you wish to apply for in your order of preference. • Apply online at www. admissions. fi. The application period begins on 7 January and closes on 12 February 2013 at 4. 15 pm Finnish time (+2 hrs GMT). w w w. h a m k. f i

What documents should you send? • If you apply with a non-Finnish qualification: – Provide a copy of the graduation certificate to the admissions office of your first-choice degree programme by 22 February 2013 (unless you are an EU/EEA-citizen and graduate in spring 2013). – Send also an official Finnish, Swedish or English translation of the certificate is not written in one of these languages. Language skills requirements • If you are an EU/EEA-citizen, your language skills will be evaluated in the language test included in the entrance examination. • If you are applying with a non-Finnish qualification and you are not a citizen of an EU/EEA-country, you must provide proof of your English language skills by 22 February 2013 4. 15 pm Finnish time to the admissions office of your first preference UAS. • Please see www. hamk. fi/applicationfulltime for a list of accepted language skills certificates and information about discretionary admission. w w w. h a m k. f i

Admission criteria • If you apply with a non-Finnish qualification your admission is based on the entrance examination result. • The minimum score for a passed examination is 30/100. If your score is less than 30 you cannot be accepted to study. w w w. h a m k. f i

Entrance examinations • All eligible applicants will be invited to the entrance examinations. • HAMK UAS organises entrance examinations during April 2013 in Finland in several other countries. • See www. hamk. fi/applicationfulltime for detailed information. w w w. h a m k. f i

Content of the entrance examinations Degree Programme in International Business • The entrance examination includes a mathematics and logical deduction skills test, a group discussion, an essay based on written materials and multiple-choice questions. There will be an integrated language test in the exam. Applicant must pass all parts of the exam. • Pre-reading material will be published at www. hamk. fi/applicationfulltime in the beginning of January. Technology, Communication and Transport • The entrance examination includes a mathematics and physics / chemistry test as well as a logical deduction skills test. All tests will be conducted in English. There will be an English language test in the examination to all applicants whether they have provided proof of their language skills beforehand (e. g. Selection of new students • The information on admission will be announced after 28 May 2013. • All those admitted must return the signed confirmation of acceptance to the university of applied sciences of their choice by 30 July 2013 4. 15 pm. w w w. h a m k. f i
