God’s Trumpets Jeremiah 10: 23 I know, O LORD, that a man's life is not his own; it is not for man to direct his steps. 2 Thessalonians 3: 5 May the Lord direct your hearts into God's love and Christ's perseverance.
When to celebrate? ► Leviticus 23: 24 "Say to the Israelites: 'On the first day of the seventh month you are to have a day of rest, a sacred assembly commemorated with trumpet blasts. ► Seventh Month of the Hebrew calendar started on Sept 14, 2015.
When to blow trumpets? Numbers 10: 7 To gather the assembly, blow the trumpets, but not with the same signal. ► 8 "The sons of Aaron, the priests, are to blow the trumpets. This is to be a lasting ordinance for you and the generations to come. ► 9 When you go into battle in your own land against an enemy who is oppressing you, sound a blast on the trumpets. Then you will be remembered by the LORD your God and rescued from your enemies. ► 10 Also at your times of rejoicing--your appointed feasts and New Moon festivals--you are to sound the trumpets over your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, and they will be a memorial for you before your God. I am the LORD your God. ►
Example in Action ► ► ► ► Joshua 6: 13 The seven priests carrying the seven trumpets went forward, marching before the ark of the LORD and blowing the trumpets. The armed men went ahead of them and the rear guard followed the ark of the LORD, while the trumpets kept sounding. 14 So on the second day they marched around the city once and returned to the camp. They did this for six days. 15 On the seventh day, they got up at daybreak and marched around the city seven times in the same manner, except that on that day they circled the city seven times. 16 The seventh time around, when the priests sounded the trumpet blast, Joshua commanded the people, "Shout! For the LORD has given you the city! 17 The city and all that is in it are to be devoted to the LORD. Only Rahab the prostitute and all who are with her in her house shall be spared, because she hid the spies we sent. 18 But keep away from the devoted things, so that you will not bring about your own destruction by taking any of them. Otherwise you will make the camp of Israel liable to destruction and bring trouble on it. 19 All the silver and gold and the articles of bronze and iron are sacred to the LORD and must go into his treasury. " 20 When the trumpets sounded, the people shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the people gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so every man charged straight in, and they took the city.
Value of Relying on God ► ► ► ► ► 2 Chronicles 13: 10 "As for us, the LORD is our God, and we have not forsaken him. The priests who serve the LORD are sons of Aaron, and the Levites assist them. 11 Every morning and evening they present burnt offerings and fragrant incense to the LORD. They set out the bread on the ceremonially clean table and light the lamps on the gold lampstand every evening. We are observing the requirements of the LORD our God. But you have forsaken him. 12 God is with us; he is our leader. His priests with their trumpets will sound the battle cry against you. Men of Israel, do not fight against the LORD, the God of your fathers, for you will not succeed. " 13 Now Jeroboam had sent troops around to the rear, so that while he was in front of Judah the ambush was behind them. 14 Judah turned and saw that they were being attacked at both front and rear. Then they cried out to the LORD. The priests blew their trumpets 15 and the men of Judah raised the battle cry. At the sound of their battle cry, God routed Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah. 16 The Israelites fled before Judah, and God delivered them into their hands. 17 Abijah and his men inflicted heavy losses on them, so that there were five hundred thousand casualties among Israel's able men. 18 The men of Israel were subdued on that occasion, and the men of Judah were victorious because they relied on the LORD, the God of their fathers.
At Times of Celebration ► 2 Chronicles 15: 12 They entered into a covenant to seek the LORD, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul. ► 13 All who would not seek the LORD, the God of Israel, were to be put to death, whether small or great, man or woman. ► 14 They took an oath to the LORD with loud acclamation, with shouting and with trumpets and horns.

Descended Exodus 19: 16 On the morning of the third day there was thunder and lightning, with a thick cloud over the mountain, and a very loud trumpet blast. Everyone in the camp trembled. ► 17 Then Moses led the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain. ► 18 Mount Sinai was covered with smoke, because the LORD descended on it in fire. Celebration – Trumpets Everywhere ► Leviticus 25: 9 Then have the trumpet sounded everywhere on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement sound the trumpet throughout your land. ► 10 Consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you; each one of you is to return to his family property and each to his own clan.
Trumpets ► To Call the Assembly ► A Warning ► For God’s help against the enemy oppressing you ► At times of celebration ► At Liberty or Jubilee ► At the presence of God (A Secret Rapture is opposed to all these references from the Bible and was not a theory until the last century. )
Wrong Trumpeting Matthew 6: 1 "Be careful not to do your 'acts of righteousness' before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. ► 2 "So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. ► 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, ► 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. ►
Trumpet Accurately ► 1 Corinthians 14: 8 Again, if the trumpet does not sound a clear call, who will get ready for battle? ► 9 So it is with you. Unless you speak intelligible words with your tongue, how will anyone know what you are saying? You will just be speaking into the air.
Trumpet in Warning ► ► ► ► Hosea 5: 3 I know all about Ephraim; Israel is not hidden from me. Ephraim, you have now turned to prostitution; Israel is corrupt. 4 "Their deeds do not permit them to return to their God. A spirit of prostitution is in their heart; they do not acknowledge the LORD. 5 Israel's arrogance testifies against them; the Israelites, even Ephraim, stumble in their sin; Judah also stumbles with them. 6 When they go with their flocks and herds to seek the LORD, they will not find him; he has withdrawn himself from them. 7 They are unfaithful to the LORD; they give birth to illegitimate children. Now their New Moon festivals will devour them and their fields. 8 "Sound the trumpet in Gibeah, the horn in Ramah. Raise the battle cry in Beth Aven ; lead on, O Benjamin. 9 Ephraim will be laid waste on the day of reckoning. Among the tribes of Israel I proclaim what is certain.
People Told but Usually They Ignored God’s Prophets ► Amos 3: 6 When a trumpet sounds in a city, do not the people tremble? When disaster comes to a city, has not the LORD caused it? 7 Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.
God tires of warning them Jeremiah 4: 18 "Your own conduct and actions have brought this upon you. This is your punishment. How bitter it is! How it pierces to the heart!" ► 19 Oh, my anguish! I writhe in pain. Oh, the agony of my heart! My heart pounds within me, I cannot keep silent. For I have heard the sound of the trumpet; I have heard the battle cry. ► 20 Disaster follows disaster; the whole land lies in ruins. In an instant my tents are destroyed, my shelter in a moment. ► 21 How long must I see the battle standard and hear the sound of the trumpet? ► 22 "My people are fools; they do not know me. They are senseless children; they have no understanding. They are skilled in doing evil; they know not how to do good. " ►

Prophets Requirement ►Isaiah 58: 1 "Shout it aloud, do not hold back. Raise your voice like a trumpet. Declare to my people their rebellion and to the house of Jacob their sins.
Assyria in Prophecy ► Isaiah 17: 1 -8 The burden against Damascus. “Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city, And it will be a ruinous heap. The cities of Aroer are forsaken; They will be for flocks Which lie down, and no one will make them afraid. The fortress also will cease from Ephraim, The kingdom from Damascus, And the remnant of Syria; They will be as the glory of the children of Israel, ” Says the Lord of hosts. “In that day it shall come to pass That the glory of Jacob will wane, And the fatness of his flesh grow lean. It shall be as when the harvester gathers the grain, And reaps the heads with his arm; It shall be as he who gathers heads of grain In the Valley of Rephaim. Yet gleaning grapes will be left in it, Like the shaking of an olive tree, Two or three olives at the top of the uppermost bough, Four or five in its most fruitful branches, ” Says the Lord God of Israel. In that day a man will look to his Maker, And his eyes will have respect for the Holy One of Israel. THIS ITEM ADDED TO NOTE THAT DAMASCUS HAS NEVER CEASED YET IS CURRENTLY UNDER SEIGE. ISRAEL IS ENCOMPASSED BY THE NATIONS PROPEHECIED AND THEY ARE OF THE PREVIOUS MIDDLE EASTERN KINGDOM. YET PEOPLE IGNORE FULFILLED PROPHECY AND THINK EVERYTHING WILL CONTINUE AS ALWAYS.
► Jeremiah 6: 17 I appointed watchmen over you and said, 'Listen to the sound of the trumpet!' But you said, 'We will not listen. ' Ezekiel 33: 1 The word of the LORD came to me: 2 "Son of man, speak to your countrymen and say to them: 'When I bring the sword against a land, and the people of the land choose one of their men and make him their watchman, ► 3 and he sees the sword coming against the land blows the trumpet to warn the people, ► 4 then if anyone hears the trumpet but does not take warning and the sword comes and takes his life, his blood will be on his own head. ► 5 Since he heard the sound of the trumpet but did not take warning, his blood will be on his own head. If he had taken warning, he would have saved himself. ► ►
God Acts Joel 2: 1 Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy hill. Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the LORD is coming. It is close at hand-► 2 a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness. Like dawn spreading across the mountains a large and mighty army comes, such as never was of old nor ever will be in ages to come. ► 3 Before them fire devours, behind them a flame blazes. God wants to Hear this Trumpet ► ► ► ► Joel 2: 12 'Even now, ' declares the LORD, 'return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning. ' 13 Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the LORD your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity. 14 Who knows? He may turn and have pity and leave behind a blessing-- grain offerings and drink offerings for the LORD your God. 15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, declare a holy fast, call a sacred assembly. 16 Gather the people, consecrate the assembly; bring together the elders, gather the children, those nursing at the breast. Let the bridegroom leave his room and the bride her chamber. 17 Let the priests, who minister before the LORD, weep between the temple porch and the altar. Let them say, 'Spare your people, O LORD. Do not make your inheritance an object of scorn, a byword among the nations. Why should they say among the peoples, 'Where is their God? '' 18 Then the LORD will be jealous for his land take pity on his people.
New Covenant Trumpets ► 1 Corinthians 15: 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed--52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. ► Some say when you die it is the last trumpet but it isn’t a Bible explanation. Trumpet or trumpets are mentioned 119 times in the Bible. Rev 11: 15 is the last time trumpet or trumpets are mentioned in the Word of God. It is also the last of the seven trumpets. And it says it is the time when the saints are rewarded.
Future Trumpets Matthew 24: 29 "Immediately after the distress of those days "'the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken. '30 "At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. 31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. …. . ► 36 "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. ► 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. ►
Trumpets Aren’t Secret but Obvious ► 1 Thessalonians 4: 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
God’s Trumpets ► ► Revelation 7: 2 -3 Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, 3 saying, “Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads. ” Revelation 8: 1 When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. 2 And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets.
► Psalm 91 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust. ” Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation. ”
The Last Trumpet Passage ► Revelation 11: 15 The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever. "16 And the twentyfour elders, who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, 17 saying: "We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign. 18 The nations were angry; and your wrath has come. The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your saints and those who reverence your name, both small and great-- and for destroying those who destroy the earth. "19 Then God's temple in heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant. And there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake and a great hailstorm.
Last Trumpet - Judgment ► At the time of the last trumpet it is time for Christ to reign and for His bride to be united with Him and time for those who transgress against His body to be destroyed.
Trumpets Conclusion The trumpet sounded at the feasts of the Lord. ► The trumpet sounded to provide direction. ► The trumpet sounded to warn of impending destruction. ► The trumpet sounded to warn people everywhere to repent. ► The trumpet sounded to tell God you were being attacked – for His help in overcoming. ► The trumpet sounded to give victory with the shout of God’s elect over the gates of your enemies – the last of which is death. ► The trumpet sounded to announce the presence of Jesus. ► The trumpet was to be sounded by the priests and by the church but it was to be sure, confident and solely reflect the Word or Will of God and not our own righteousness or opinion. ►
► The trumpet was to be sounded today for you to remember to hold fast to the commandments of God and the Testimony of Jesus -- Our Lord, King and Deliverer. ► It was to sound so you know the direction for your feet. So you know that the battle against the powers of the air will end with Christ as victor and you as victorious. ► Today you are to feast in your thankfulness for such a Guide, King and Friend. ► Sound the trumpet and let us give thanks in feasting before the Lord.
