Workshop – Innovation procurement experiences in Europe | 18. 10. 2016 | 0 Lessons learned 2/4 Procurement of innovation needs a special spirit in public organisations: § Visionary people in the management, in the procurement department and in the specialised departments to identify innovative needs § Time and capacities for the procurer to find innovation in the market: • Innovations are not listed in common catalogues • Internet research, visit of fairs, talks with expert are instruments to identify innovations => that‘s time consuming § But capacities and special competences (e. g. technical know) are missing at the moment in many procurement departments www. nrweuropa. de © NRW.
