Advisory Council/Data Clearinghouse Purpose: As a standing committee under Missouri’s Chief Information Officer, the MGISAC’s purpose is to foster cooperation among state agencies, local governments, private industry, academia, federal government and others in the field of geographic information technology (GIT). Missouri Spatial Data Information Service (MSDIS) Responsible for: • data storage and access • standardization of both digital and tabular data • creation of the data dictionary • compilation of metadata • statewide GIS user information networks • national clearinghouse of imagery data for Missouri

Services Provided GIS Analysis and Design - patterns and relationships between features (real world objects). Spatial Database Design & Development - design activities and reviews of end users systems requiring spatial data. GIS Data Creation and Maintenance - convert digital information into meaningful and reliable GIS database layers. GIS/GPS Technical Support & Training - assist with your training and technical needs for desktop GIS and GPS software. Cartographic Services – map creation. Emergency GIS Support - allows information to be visualized spatially, shared among state agencies, and updated real time empowering decision makers and saving lives. GIS Web Application – map services for web based applications or as stand-alone applications.
