Canadian Capabilities § 73% of Canada’s electricity from clean sources (hydro, nuclear, wind, solar, waste-to-energy, biofuel). § Environment industry has 8, 500 firms with exports worth between C$1. 5 B and C$1. 8 B annually. § Total annual revenues in the renewable sector hover around C$25 B. § Environmental industries in Canada: Ontario (43%), Quebec (19%), Alberta (15%), British Columbia (13%), Manitoba/Saskatchewan (5%), Atlantic Canada (5%). § Renewable energy (bioenergy, wind, hydrogen/fuel cells, hydro, solar, geothermal) also in provinces, territories. 4
