Kentucky’s LWIAs
4 years ago – we scrambled!! • • Put together a team of about 10 -12 individuals Split up the state Made onsite visits LWIA’s were reluctant but cooperative and then inquisitive. . . • Validators differed on approach. . .
Year two… • We did not do on-site visits…. . . Why? ? • The LWIA’s were extremely cooperative! • Data Validation result reports… Year three… • Files validated at a central location again… • Only two people did the validating (with a little help from a branch manager)… • The LWIA’s were cooperative but…
Bill Carillo presents in fall of 2005…. • Praised KY’s Data Validation process • Suggested that KY encourage all LWIA’s to implement in house Data Validation processes • One LWIA presented their in-house Data Validation process at the training In the Winter/early Spring of 2006, we asked all LWIA’s to select a point person for Data Validation and strongly encouraged all LWIA’s to implement in house Data Validation.
Year four. . . • • • Files were delivered to a central location again Validators used DRVS software. . . glitchy! Bigger sample – 1400 w/NEG participants! Sample was more uniform, somewhat Directors provided Data Validation results and opportunities to discuss
Next year. . . • May do some onsite visits • May review LWIA in-house Data Validation policies/procedures • Expect improved results
