Grazing History in 1902 with $31, 000 Henry Ford was 40 years old when he founded the Ford Motor Company. which would go on to become one of the largest and most profitable companies in the world. The largest family-controlled company in the world, the Ford Motor Company has been in continuous family control for over 100 years.

Hybrid vehicle The demand for hybrid vehicle is growing very quickly at that time. Many people want more than the pocket-sized car from Toyota and Honda that were first on the market. Ford Motor company vowed to be the first auto manufacturer to come out with hybrid SUV CEO Bill Ford raved for years about pans for a new model that would handle like a muscular V 6 but sip tiny amounts of gas and produce minuscule emission.

The Escape Hybrid SUV would be the most technologically advanced vehicle Ford had ever made and its most important sine the model T.

Organization structure Researchers and product engineers haven’t worked closely. To meet the demanding schedule, Ford created a sort of Hybrid team, made up of scientists and product engineers from far-lung departments. Working side by side, creating and building software and hardware together. Then working with production personnel to bring their creation to life.

Hybrid team The team’s leader Prabhaker Patil, was himself a hybrid, who had started out working in Ford’s lab and then cross over to hands on product development. Past problem were “tossed over the wall ” They would now be ironed out collaboratively.

The approach was revolutionary for Ford The team was allowed to be entrepreneurial. Decisions that once would have taken days were made on the spot. So the team was nearly autonomy and their productivity zoomed.
