Firs Ford Car • Ford company founded on 1903 • First Ford car built was the Model T in 1908 • There were 15, 458, 781 sold. • The Model T had a 177 cubic inch 4 cylinder block engine with 14 horsepower • It was one of the first cars built. It was the “must have” thing.
Fords Jeep • In 1941 (world war 2) Ford started production of all purpose jeeps for the military. • The Jeep helped the soldiers cross longer distances faster and it carried their stuff. • It was a very small car. It had four wheel drive, and a strong four cylinder engine. In total, there was about 1, 500 made all for the army. These Jeeps developed more as the years went by was more need for them.
Ford GT 40 ford was made in 1964 and was recognized as a super car due to its v 8 engine and its powerful 350 horsepower. Some GT 40 even got up to 485 horsepower. This car was a racecar and beat the Ferrari in a race. These cars had about 15 miles per gallon. Its top speed was 205 miles per hour. It can hold up to 42 gallons in its fuel tank.
Ford Mustang The Ford Mustang was also made in 1964, and just like the GT 40, was recognized as a super car as well. This mustang had a choice of three engines: a 6 cylinder, an 8 cylinder, or a 289 cubic inch 8 cylinder engine. The Ford Mustang could go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 7, 5 seconds.
Ford F-150 The F 150 was introduced as the “heavy” truck. It weighed about half a ton, but was still the most popular truck for about 30 years. Today, the F 150 is one of the strongest trucks and is still very popular.
Aston Martin Cars
