Raiffeisen Leasing Albania Raiffeisen Leasing Sh. a was established in April 2006 with shareholders Raiffeisen Bank Sh. a holding 75% of its shares and Raiffeisen Leasing International Gmb. H having the remaining 25% of the shares. During these four years of activity, leasing faced a considerable growth by occupying 50% of the market and is the absolute Leader this segment as well and beating two competitors Tirana Leasing in (since 2004) and Landeslease (since end 2006) In the strategy, but as well in the real activity of Raiffeisen Leasing Sh. a, are included lease financing for products , starting from personal cars, light commercial vehicles, trucks and heavy machinery and equipment for construction industry to different technological lines. All these leasing products are offered to business segments such as Corporate and SME, whilst private individuals mainly use personal cars. The mission of Raiffeisen Leasing is to become a leader in the leasing market in Albania by offering a full range of leasing products, fully satisfying the customers needs and contributing in development of the Albanian economy through financing of new and contemporary technology, machinery and equipment. Amongst the most important achievements has been the establishment of strategic partner relationships with local and international dealers and vendors. During the year 2007, Raiffeisen Leasing Sh. a. has undertaken an intensive marketing campaign, mainly coordinated with policies and marketing activities of local car dealers as the prior business partners. Pension Fund in Albania The voluntary private pension fund companies: n In Albania, the first private pension funds were licensed in 2005. The government of Albania is the one of the last governments in Eastern Europe to license private pension fund companies and to provide incentives for this type of a financial service institution. n Through this pension scheme, an individual can contribute voluntarily a certain amount of ALL in order to obtain at retirement a lump sum or annuity payments. n Each individual has its own account and this account is inheritable or transferable. n Raiffeisen Pensions enables any one to supplement the mandatory state pension with a voluntary one. n Any one can participate in the scheme by contributing periodically and on voluntary basis a desired amount of money. n At the time of retirement, the pensioner can obtain his savings and interest earned from their investment in the pensions fund in the form of a lump sum or annuity. n Each contributor will have an individual account at Raiffeisen Pensions which will reflect the amount of contributions plus the interest earned. n Each individual can name a beneficiary or a special person designated to inherit his/her account.
