Geospatial Profile Version 2. 0 is being developed and is expected to come out for review later this summer. A profile pilot project is being conducted between EPA, NC Dept of Environment and Natural Resources, and City of Charlotte regarding environmental incident response. It will provide feedback on the use of the Profile in support of multi-organizational data sharing. 4
Geospatial Grants Guidance Purpose: Ensure that federally-funded geospatial information collection and development activities are catalogued using FGDC metadata, posted to the Geospatial One-Stop portal, and made available for others to use Draft guidance developed by interagency team (DOI, FGDC, DHS, EPA, DOT, HHS, DOJ) Draft guidance issued for review on 5 -12 -06 Comments were due on 5 -26 -06 5
Geospatial Grants Guidance Next Steps: Working Group to review/resolve comments Coordinate review/resolution with OMB and grants community Present revised draft to Steering Committee for approval Note: Adoption of grants guidance is FY 07 action item in Geo Lo. B plan Geo Lo. B also recommends development of similar requirements for contracts/FAR in FY 08 6
2007 NSDI Cooperative Agreement Program Purpose: Annual program to assist the geospatial data community through funding and other resources in implementing the components of the NSDI Announcement will go out in early fall Expected awards in December/January 7
