In the center of the new capital of sovereign Kazakhstan was built on a unique artistic value and scale of the architectural ensemble. Its main component - Akorda - the residence of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Construction of the residence began in 2001. Work on the project led well-known architects of Europe and Kazakhstan, among them renowned European designers and M. Gualatsi A. Molteni. Interior in traditional style was carried out in consultation academician K. Montahaeva. Above the construction of important state facilities worked experts and workers 26 nationalities.
The official presentation of the new residence of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place December 24, 2004. The total building area is 36, 720 square meters, its height with a spire -. 86 m building of five aboveground and two underground floors are made of reinforced concrete with the most modern construction techniques and advanced engineering equipment. The height of the first floor is 12 meters.
On the ground floor there is a central front hall area of 1800 sq. m. It is designed for official receptions in the presence of a guard of honor. In the center of the hall - a large dome with a crystal chandelier. In addition, on the first floor there is a ceremonial hall for official receptions by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, hall for press conferences and meetings of the Head of State with the media, as well as the Winter Garden.
On the second floor are offices.
On the third floor: - East Hall, stylized in the form of a yurt, and marble and granite. - Marble Hall, designed for the signing of documents in the course of official visits and summits with the participation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign Heads of State and Government. It also held the ceremony of presentation of credentials by foreign ambassadors accredited in the Republic of Kazakhstan, awarding state awards and honorary titles of the Republic of Kazakhstan. - Golden Hall, designed for meeting the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan meetings with heads of state and government in a narrow circle, meetings and talks the head of state with foreign delegations, ambassadors of foreign countries accredited in the Republic of Kazakhstan. - Oval Room, which is used for high-level talks of delegations of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign countries, meetings and talks the head of state with foreign delegations, representatives of foreign business circles. - Guest room intended for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan interviews with foreign ambassadors after the ceremony of presenting credentials. - Hall of extended negotiations, is used for high-level talks of delegations of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign countries. - The Security Council Chamber, is designed for meetings of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
On the fourth floor: - Dome Hall is used for meetings of Heads of State Summit, the President of Kazakhstan meetings with representatives of ministries and departments, political parties, movements and creative intelligentsia of the country, holding meetings consultative and advisory bodies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. - Conference Room, intended for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan meetings with the Government, heads of departments of the Presidential Administration, akims of oblasts and Astana and Almaty cities, heads of ministries and departments, as well as the meetings of the Head of State with representatives of business circles of the republic. - Negotiations Hall is used for meetings and discussions Head of Administration of the President of RK, RK President's aide with foreign delegations, ambassadors of foreign countries accredited in the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of foreign business circles. - Library, where a unique collection of books. In the basement are located a variety of technical services, garage space, kitchen and dining room.
In general, the architecture and design of Acorda interiors reflect the modern style of government of Kazakhstan. Style, whose foundations were laid in the early years of independence, and who today can rightly be considered as held on its main areas - national symbols, signs of power, in the cut of the official uniforms of the national currency. Currently, the residence of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Ak Orda" has acquired the status of one of the most significant and recognizable symbols of our country.
