Extended School Day/School Violence Prevention (ESD/SVP) –Time Line n October 1, 2010 - June Extended School Day/School Violence Prevention (ESD/SVP) –Time Line n October 1, 2010 - June 30, 2013 n $ 24. 3 Million n 104 programs 34 local educational agencies 70 community based organizations providing Extended Day, Violence Prevention and a combination of both to over 40, 000 students across NYS n One Year Extension: Grants/Grant Contracts will sunset June 30, 2014

FS-10 Budget Amendment n Due May 16, 2014 to NYSED. No Exceptions! n All FS-10 Budget Amendment n Due May 16, 2014 to NYSED. No Exceptions! n All dollars must be expensed by June 30, 2014 n Amendments must only include costs that are directly related to the ESD/SVP grant program for the 20132014 program year. n Funds may not be used to buy supplies and/or equipment that will be used by an agency beyond the life of the grant and/or to sustain the program beyond 6/30/14

FS-10 F - Final Fiscal Reporting Final fiscal reports are due July 30, 2014 FS-10 F - Final Fiscal Reporting Final fiscal reports are due July 30, 2014 FS-10 F SHORT FORM will be required, unless your agency is directly notified by SED program staff (before May 31 st) to submit the FS-10 F Long Form. All agencies should complete the FS-10 F Long Form to keep for internal tracking and audit purposes.

Notifying Stakeholders and Staff n Be sure that everyone is aware of end dates Notifying Stakeholders and Staff n Be sure that everyone is aware of end dates n Help parents find other arrangements for child care if applicable n Develop activities to help participants think about productive uses of free-time n Work with your Personnel department to be sure that all staff are prepared for the end of the grant

Records Retention n All associated records must be retained for 5 years after grant Records Retention n All associated records must be retained for 5 years after grant comes to a close. Federal attorneys recommend 7 years to coincide with Statute of Limitations. n 5 -7 year period starts July 1, 2014
