Executive Coaching Models: An Overview There are many approaches and models used for executive coaching (e. g. Appreciative Inquiry model, Leaderplex Model of Leadership, Egan’s ‘Helping Skills’ model, Solution Focused Model, Domains of Competence Model etc. ) These models provide an approach to coaching that is usually focussed on one perspective, task or underlying philosophy A need for more integrated, holistic approach
The “Excellence”© Model “EXCELLENCE”© model - new, holistic, all-round approach combining elements of various coaching models with extensive expertise in personal development and coaching The 10 phases of the model do not need to be used in sequential order, and each coaching intervention can use some (or all) parts of some (or all) phases

The Usability of “EXCELLENCE” Model for Executive Coaching and Leadership Development The model is very flexible and it can cover a large variety of coaching needs It aims to initiate long lasting and sustainable positive changes that will bring about excellence Phases to be used depend on coaching needs and resources available Empirical testing (12 clients) – 100% positive feedback received
Conclusions This presentation links research and practice of executive coaching and leadership development The proposed “EXCELLENCE”© model is allencompassing providing a novel approach to executive coaching and leadership development incorporating many tools and models The empirical testing and use of this model will be continued
