ESP Course Description English for Science and Technology, an integrated skills course , aims to provide students with the academic and language skills needed for successful study or professional work in a scientific context where English is the working language. The course challenges students to collectively arrive at solutions through critical and creative thinking . Different ways of how i deas are generated, analyzed, synthesized and expressed promotes the acquisition of general competences vital to 21 st century success.

This semester we are going to perform meaningful tasks and solve real-world problems in English

The course consists of 3 modules, each revolving around a “BIG problem” In science and technology … UNIT 1 Electric cars UNIT 2 Artificial intelligence UNIT 3 Biocompatible materials

Course Overview The 8 th semester lasts 13 weeks till the 2 9 th of April. TWO classes ( 4 hrs) every week. THREE Modules ( TOPICS) are organized around a current problem topical at MISi. S: electric cars; artificial intelligence (AI) and biocompatible materials

Each unit involves: 1) Introduction to the topic of the unit 2) Preparation for the panel discussion ( reading, watching videos, writing ideas and preparing for presentation of ideas) 3) Report — Writing task Course Overview
